INTERPA stands for International Association of Police Academies. This worldwide association for cooperation in police training among police academies was founded in 2011. INTERPA membership includes 80 member institutions from 63 countries. The headquarters and secretariat of INTERPA are located in Ankara, Turkey. The Executive Board consists of a President and 5 (five) Vice Presidents, elected from the member countries in the General Council for 3 (three) years. Dr. Mallick Faqrul Islam bpm, ppm, Rector, Police Staff College Bangladesh represents Bangladesh as one of the current Vice Presidents of INTERPA.

Since the foundation of the association, INTERPA successfully organized and carried out 10 (ten) International Conferences. The 11th Annual INTERPA Conference with the theme of “Digitalization of Policing”, the General Council Meeting, and the 22nd Executive Board Meeting was held from 12th-14th September 2022 in Dhaka. Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 11th Annual INTERPA Conference on “Digitalization of Policing” at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka through a virtual platform from her official residence Ganabhaban.

This year, the 12th INTERPA Conference will be held on 29th-30th October in Gujarat, India. A delegation from Police Staff College Bangladesh, headed by Dr. Mallick Faqrul Islam bpm, ppm will represent Bangladesh in this year’s conference. The theme for the conference is “ Policing at Times of Technological Accidents and Natural Disasters”. The National Forensic Sciences University will be the host organization.
