Review Meeting on MACPM Program’s New Syllabus at Police Staff College Bangladesh

 

The 3rd and final meeting of the syllabus review committee of the Master of Applied Criminology and Police Management (MACPM) program conducted by Police Staff College Bangladesh (PSC) under the National University Bangladesh (NU) was held on 27-09-23 at Police Staff College Bangladesh. Professor Dr. Md. Mashiur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor, National University Bangladesh presided over the meeting that approved the draft of the revised syllabus of MACPM course. All the members of the committee including teachers and officials from Dhaka University and National University Bangladesh, MDS (Academic), Police Staff College Bangladesh and Director (Academic), Police Staff College Bangladesh were present at the meeting. The meeting emphasized ensuring a modern and quality syllabus as well as adequate qualified teachers and necessary books, journals and articles.

At the end of the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor had a courtesy call with Dr. Mallick Faqrul Islam bpm, ppm, Rector of Police Staff College Bangladesh at the latter’s office. They discussed new possibilities and proposals for strengthening the relationship between Police Staff College Bangladesh and National University Bangladesh. In the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor proposed for joint research by NU and PSC under the auspices of NU, publication of terminology-related books, collection of new and relevant books for Police Staff College Bangladesh and organizing workshops in joint venture. The Rector of Police Staff College Bangladesh accepted his proposals wholeheartedly and directed all concerned officials of Staff College to take necessary measures.

The Rector proposed to commence LLM course at Police Staff College Bangladesh under National University Bangladesh. All present agreed that police officers would be greatly benefited professionally after completing the course successfully. In this context, the Vice-Chancellor drew the attention of the senior officials of National University Bangladesh and advised them to take necessary measures.

At the end of the meeting, teachers and officials of National University Bangladesh and Dhaka University and senior officials of Police Staff College Bangladesh participated in the lunch at PSC Dormitory.
